a festival of new, one-act plays
Play Space debuted in June of 2026 with four works by San Francisco Bay Area playwrights, directors, and actors. The plays had never been staged before and were selected from dozens of submissions. And it was a success!
So much so, that Play Space will be returning in the spring of 2027.

the team
Play Space is produced and hosted by director + drag queen Elsa Touche and writer + drag queen Jubilee. They’re each spent their lives in theatre and decades performing and producing theatre in the Bay Area.
Play Space is the newest scheme in their ongoing mission to support and showcase local theatre talent.
